Nicole is always great! She’s very helpful and communicates what is going on with my vehicle. She takes the time to explain things and that all my questions are answered.

Gunther truly made me feel heard each step of the way. From the buying process, trade in, and driving off the lot.

We have done all routine maintenance, including oil changes through Gunther VW in DelRay. Brought in to get 40,000 checkup & oil change on Tuesday June 3 advising them we were doing 1,200 mile drive that week and need everything checked thoroughly. Work was performed as requested and got vehicle back same day. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday vehicle was used sparingly going no more than 5-10 miles/ day. We began our journey at 7am on Saturday Jun7 heading north on i95. Roughly 175 miles in the engine overheat light came on advising us to add coolant. We called Gunter in DelRay and they advised us it was ok to add water as it was a 50/50 mix anyway. I proceeded to add a liter of water which appeared to briefly do the trick until engine overheat light came on again. At this point, we made the determination to go to the nearest VW service center, which just happened to be Gunter VW in Daytona roughly 30 miles north. We pulled over to breakdown lane and called them to inquire how late they were open and verify they had technicians working that saturday. They advised us to only add coolant and we may have diluted the proper mix and asked us to bring car in. We again waited for engine to cool down and proceeded to the next exit when we purchased the proper coolant and added to the vehicle. Entering the highway again the engine overheat light came on again along with the oil light. We pulled over IMMEDIATELY and vehicle began to smoke very badly. We exited vehicle immediately and shut vehicle off and smoke resumed…. We called 911 and dispatched fire rescue who showed up within :15-:20. they stayed until smoke had cleared and vehicle was determined to be safe. We then proceeded to call AAA to request a tow, 30+ miles to Daytona Gunter VW. Karen & 2 dogs and I sat on the side of i95 in 90°+ heat for 2+ hours waiting for tow, another issue…. 😬 (AAA) Called AAA many times and only got automated attendant advising us to open up a ticket through a text link they were sending us…. TRIED MANY TIMES OVER AN HOUR WITH NO SUCCESS. After independent towing co picked us up we arrived at Gunter VW they were unable to do anything but offer us a loaner vehicle to use until they could resolve issue/ repair vehicle. We loaded up car and headed back 200 miles to Boca losing 3 days from our vacation trip. :( Gunter’s assessment was the engine was blown and they offered to replace at no charge. neither Karen my wife or I would feel safe in that vehicle so we declined that option. Gunter ended up buying our atlas back at market price and selling us a new one…. not the best option, but the only one we would accept.

I had met my salesman, Mike Scarlett, while waiting for service on my Tiguan months before returning to Gunther to look into the offers that were being made after repeated e-mails to me. His friendly nature made me remember him when we went back to thinking about doing a deal. Mike worked with us to find vehicles that would fit our budget and we ended up leasing two Taos vehicles.

Service advisor was great she is sweet and kind, and knowledgeable. When I got my car back the seat was pumped all the way up so I couldn’t get in the car. Minor adjustments I understand but if you’re too short to see over the wheel of a gti you shouldn’t be driving it. Also my g meter was turned on when I didn’t turn it and you have to go through a list of options to get to it. All my radio stations had been changed. Unsure if this car was driven anywhere else for my g meter to be turned on.
